ReplyDeleteBut...
Now I am working with Canadians, but I can't hear their English. Maybe I don't have sufficient talent to understand English. Or they have a strong accent.
Their English is a little different from NHK's English.
Do you know Canadians have a regional accents?
They really don't have regional accents (not as diverse as in America). Canadian English is like a British-American mix, but the Canadians I know sound more like Americans. (I cannot tell the difference, actually.)
ReplyDeleteI think NHK people are very careful to speak VERY clearly and slowly. I think if you talk to the Canadians a little more, you will get used to them quickly. You probably know most of the words/grammar, but they are speaking too fast. Or...if they are young, they maybe be using a lot of slang. >.<
Good luck!
